Next, we need to tile an entry pad by the garage door entrance. We'll be ripping out the old carpet. Carpeting was to be installed on Friday, but due to miscommunication between us and the installer, it won't be done until Monday. Phooey! We were hoping to be all done by this weekend. Lamar is off. After the carpet is installed, we'll need to bring everything...well, not everything (see Family Room Redo Part 1) back into the family room and redecorate. I'm looking for bookcases or an entertainment type unit, an end table or two and whatever....on Craig's List. Got to keep bargaining if we're going to get this done and lookin' good!
My big question is...why is it that the rest of the house ends up being a disaster when we're only redoing one room?

Wow, looks a lot better! You did so much work on this room, great job! What color carpet are you getting? Are you getting new furniture too?
ReplyDeleteI like the colors. Very fresh and fun. Re-doing one room, even just reorganizing just one room, sends the rest of the house into a tail-spin. Good luck with that.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors! What about the tile? How did it go? Picture?
ReplyDeleteI was going to comment about the gorgeous wall paper you found behind the fireplace. I'm sure it took extra time to pry that off. Seems like every project has setbacks, or at least takes about twice as long as estimated at first. At least that's MY experience!

Amen to that! Our kitchen is now in the dining room and utility room and boxed up all over the garage! Amazing what those cabinets held! I love the colors you picked...and the names are yummy! Can't wait to see it completed with all the new Craigs list aquisitions!
